The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Lake Wales

AdventHealth Lake Wales is a licensed 160-bed hospital, with 24-hour emergency care and outpatient services including imaging, rehab, lab and wound care, serving the community and surrounding areas. As part of the AdventHealth network, patients will have access to innovative therapies, research, technology, and a team of medical specialists. Lake Wales is located in Central Florida, between Orlando and Tampa, and is home to the Historic Bok Tower Gardens and Bird Sanctuary.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) provides and supervises direct and indirect nursing care to specific age groups. Utilizes the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) to meet nursing department goals. Adheres to AdventHealth policies and all applicable regulations. Participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships.

• Completes assessments based on Practice Guidelines, including signs of abuse or neglect, and makes appropriate decisions and interventions.
• Sets measurable goals based on assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, and evaluates and modifies them as needed.
• Assesses and interprets diagnostic data relevant to patient age and condition, including lab results and monitoring data.
• Follows infection prevention and medication safety policies. Emphasizes patient teaching and utilizes opportunities for education.
• Promotes excellent patient experiences through effective communication, including hourly rounding, and ensures thorough hand-offs with the interdisciplinary team.

• Graduate of a school of nursing
• Current valid State of Florida or multi-state RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced life support certifications (PALS, NRP) as required by the unit
