Summary of Job Duties: The RN will provide direct patient care, coordinate care, triage, collaborate with providers, facilitate appointments, transition care, and educate patients on complex conditions. They will develop and implement individual health plans with patients, families, and providers.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Associate’s, Diploma, or Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Graduate of an accredited RN program
  • At least 1 year of RN experience or acceptance into the UAMS RN Residency Program
  • Valid RN License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSN or working towards BSN
  • Ambulatory clinical experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification (or within one year of starting)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and accountability

Physical Requirements: Must be fitted for and able to use PPE including N95 masks, PAPR, or CAPR.

Additional Information:

  • Adheres to Nurse Practice Act and institutional policies
  • Collects and documents assessment data, develops and implements care plans, evaluates progress, and provides education and discharge planning
  • Administers medication and supports team members
  • Delivers care according to nursing standards and delegates appropriately
  • Contributes to a positive work environment and supports clinical education
