Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the team! Schedule: Part-time, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday - 8am-4pm. The responsibilities of the wound care nurse involve conducting and documenting detailed physical exams, evaluating and managing patients with wounds and extensive case management. Some of the case management functions include but are not limited to assessing and providing for wound care needs post discharge, collaborating with providers and other medical personnel and ordering equipment/supplies. This position involves working with the wound care team including physicians, physical therapists and other nurses. The nurse will be involved with educating patients and families about chronic wounds and maintaining appropriate follow up care. This nurse will be responsible for managing in-patients as well as out-patients with complex wounds, treating patients through clinical pathways, following standards of care and advanced clinical practice. This position is responsible for educating and supporting in-patient nurses on maintenance of skin integrity, prevention and treatment of skin breakdown and wounds.
