Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide direct care in the outpatient wound care clinic and to evaluate inpatient wounds.

You will collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and nursing staff regarding treatment changes and patient condition, ensuring timely responses to evolving clinical situations. The role requires a current RN license, BCLS certification, and preferred experience in acute care and wound care.

Qualifications

• Must hold current and valid RN license issued by the state.
• BCLS (AHA) required on hire and maintained.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Wound care knowledge or experience preferred (1 year).
• Wound Care Certification within first year of hire; WOC Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse provides direct care in the outpatient wound care clinic as well as evaluating inpatient wounds. Communicate with physicians / charge nurse / co–workers regarding changes in the patient’s treatment, clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the state.
• BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Previous Wound care knowledge and or experience preferred (1 Year).
• Wound Care Certification within first year of hire
• Wound, Ostomy, Continence (WOC) Certification preferred

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
