Job summary

Aspen Valley Health is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Whitcomb Terrace assisted living facility in Aspen, CO. The role requires professional nursing care, patient histories, medications, and care plans, with rotating 12-hour shifts.

Qualified candidates hold ADN, an unrestricted Colorado RN license, BLS (and First Aid, may be obtained on hire). Spanish language skills are a plus. We offer diverse AVH programs and staff support in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Unrestricted Colorado RN license or ability to obtain before start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. First Aid certification may be obtained on hire.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care and individualized assistance to residents.
• Record patient histories, perform diagnostic tests, and develop care plans with medical staff.
• Administer medications and monitor residents’ progress in medical records.
• Educate residents and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Collaborate with the Director, Medical Director and other staff to meet clinical and daily living needs.

Job description

We are currently hiring for a PRN Registered Nurse within the Whitcomb Terrace department here at Aspen Valley Health.

Work Shift:

Rotating - 12 Hours

Compensation Range:

$45.15 - $72.24Night and weekend shift differentials up to $10 per hour!

The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
• First Aid certification. May be obtained upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Position Overview:

Provides professional nursing care and individualized assistance to residents of the Whitcomb Terrace assisted living facility. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Observes residents’ progress and records observations in their medical records. Promotes residents’ independence by teaching them and their families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. This position works with the Director, Medical Director, and other staff to identify and intervene in addressing the clinical, social, and daily living needs of residents.
