Job summary

Boston Medical Center Health Systems in Boston is seeking an RN for our 38-bed multi-specialty ICU at the Brighton campus. You will provide patient-centered care in a collaborative team, documenting care and contributing to quality improvement.

The role requires MA RN licensure, 2 years med/surg RN experience, BLS and ACLS, with a BSN preferred and a plan to obtain BSN within 4 years. Schedule is 24 hours, weekends only, night shift, in a dynamic ICU setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• 2 years of RN experience required in a med/surg setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• ICU experience preferred and ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities and basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the ICU unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by our nursing department.
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.

Compensation Range:

$39.80- $93.69

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
