Northwestern Medicine’s Weekender Neurosciences RN role anchors a 24-bed unit in Illinois, offering night shifts on a full-time basis with 0.9 FTE. The position includes a $3,000 sign-on bonus and a competitive hourly wage.

As an Intermediate Registered Nurse, you’ll care for stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal injuries, and neurosurgical patients, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytic abilities.
• Experience in neuroscience or neuro unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients on a 24-bed neurosciences unit with neuro and spine conditions.
• Manage care for stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, and neurosurgical patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain nursing standards and participate in ongoing quality improvement.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.

• Salary Range Minimum : $37.00
• Salary Range Maximum: $59.20
• Compensation: USD 37 - USD 59.2 - hourly

• 24 bed neurosciences unit providing care to patients requiring medical and surgical treatment of acute neurological and spine disorders
• Neurological conditions include acute and stable traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, stroke, spinal injury, seizure, and acute inflammation or infections of the CNS. Neurosurgical patients include aneurysm repair, CS leaks & lumbar drains, post-op neurosurgical and spinal patients
