Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Staff Nurse Inpatient for a full-time night shift (7pm-7:30am) with rotating weekends on the CDH Neuro Intermediate unit. The role involves caring for patients with acute neurological and spine disorders and contributing to high patient satisfaction.

Applicants must hold a BSN, be a current Illinois RN, and have BLS. ADN may be accepted with commitment to obtain BSN within three years.

Qualifications

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong interpersonal skills.

CDH Neuro Intermediate (3B)

• 24 bed neurosciences unit providing care to patients requiring medical and surgical treatment of acute neurological and spine disorders
• Neurological conditions include acute and stable traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, stroke, spinal injury, seizure, and acute inflammation or infections of the CNS. Neurosurgical patients include aneurysm repair, CS leaks & lumbar drains, post-op neurosurgical and spinal patients.

TheStaff Nurse Inpatient reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

A clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice.

Qualifications

Required:
