Job summary

West Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a premier 176-bed facility in Philadelphia, is seeking a Registered Nurse Weekend Supervisor to ensure high-quality care on weekends and support a positive work environment.

You will supervise a team of nurses and CNAs, conduct rounds, and develop care plans with the interdisciplinary team, while participating in quality initiatives and adhering to regulatory standards. This role offers growth in a dynamic, patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Experience supervising nursing staff preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and CNAs to ensure weekends are covered with high-quality care.
• Conduct rounds to assess patient care and guide staff as needed.
• Develop and implement care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Educate staff and residents on topics including resident rights, medication safety, and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to regulatory standards and center policies.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to address staffing needs and implement staffing strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care on weekends
• Conduct rounds to assess patient care and provide guidance to staff as needed
• Develop and implement effective care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
• Provide education to staff and residents on various topics, including resident rights, medication management, and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, adhering to regulatory standards and West Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center policies
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and other leaders to identify and address staffing needs, as well as develop and implement staffing strategies to ensure optimal care delivery
