Job summary

West Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Philadelphia is seeking a Registered Nurse Weekend Supervisor to oversee weekend patient care and guide staff.

You will conduct rounds, develop care plans, participate in quality initiatives, educate staff and residents, maintain records, and collaborate with nursing leadership to ensure compliant, high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• Supervise a team of nursing staff including RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and CNAs to ensure weekend patient care.
• Provide guidance and conduct rounds to assess patient care.
• Develop and implement care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes.
• Educate staff and residents on topics like resident rights, medication management, and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate records and reports in line with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to address staffing needs and strategies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care on weekends
• Conduct rounds to assess patient care and provide guidance to staff as needed

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
• Provide education to staff and residents on various topics, including resident rights, medication management, and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, adhering to regulatory standards and West Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center policies
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and other leaders to identify and address staffing needs, as well as develop and implement staffing strategies to ensure optimal care delivery
