Mercy is seeking RNs who will deliver patient-centered care using the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process. You will coordinate with other departments, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and maintain professional accountability for care delivered.

Education must include an RN degree (AD/ Diploma/ BSN) with licensure in the hiring state or compact licensure. Certification requirements vary by unit and may include ACLS, PALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, BLS, C-EFM, among others.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• Active RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 30 days of hire.
• One or more position/unit-specific certifications may be required (ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, PALS, etc.).
• Position requires ability to push/pull 50 lbs, prolonged standing/walking, and mobility.

Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Position Details:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
