Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide compassionate patient care within our Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework. The role involves coordinating care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license (state or compact) and a Basic Life Support certification, with additional unit-specific certifications as required. Education must be from an accredited nursing program (AD, Diploma, or BSN).

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• Certifications may be required based on position/unit: ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, STABLE modules, C-EFM, or unit-specific.
• Proficiency in maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.

Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Position Details:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
