Job summary

Caris HealthCare is seeking a Week Night On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) in Dickson, TN to provide compassionate patient care after hours and on weekends as ordered by physicians.

The On-Call RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, visiting patients as scheduled and handling phone inquiries when appropriate.

This role offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus and an annual salary of $70,000 to $75,000, depending on experience, with benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse in the operating state.
• Hospice or Home Health experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles and patient teaching.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients on a scheduled on-call basis, including after-hours and weekend care.
• Handle phone calls; coordinate patient care and respond to queries when not visiting in person.

Position: Week Night On-Call Registered Nurse, RN

Pay: $70,000 - $75,000 / yearly Depending on Experience

The Caris On Call Registered Nurse is normally scheduled to work on weekends and/or after hours on week days. The On Call RN is responsible for the nursing care of patients according to the physician's orders. The On Call RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating total patient care and nursing care plans for each patient.

Responsibilities

• The On Call RN is scheduled to make patient visits each week. The On Call RN may be able to resolve some issues by phone. However, many after hours and/or weekend phone calls will require the On Call RN to make a visit.
• The On Call RN agrees to be available for work-related phone calls throughout the scheduled after hours and/or weekend work hours. Work related phone calls should be accepted by the On Call RN without allowing it to go to voice mail; unless the On Call RN is assisting a patient or on a phone call with a patient/family.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of operation.
• Nursing experience required, with experience in Hospice or Home Health preferred.
• Must posses a sound knowledge of nursing principles, procedures and elements of patient family teaching.
