Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Laredo in Laredo, TX, part of Universal Health Services, provides a 183-bed acute care environment delivering comprehensive services. This role supports safe, patient-centered nursing care and team leadership aligned with our care philosophy and Service Excellence standards.

We seek a qualified RN with NLN-approved training, state licensure, and ACLS/PALS/NRP readiness, plus BLS. Experience in acute care is preferred; strong commitment to patient care is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• ACLS, PALS, or NRP (or obtained within six months of employment) in required specialty.
• BLS (or obtained during orientation)
• De-escalation training (obtained CPI within six months of employment) in required specialty.
• Current state nursing license.
• Prefer one-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
