Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full-Time Triage Registered Nurse to provide care to client employees and dependents at our Helena, MT Health Center. Shifts run 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a strong emphasis on triage and patient assessment.

You will collaborate with physicians, perform tests, administer medications, and maintain a safe environment. Ideal candidates have an ADN (BSN preferred), current RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice is required.
• BSN preferred but not required.
• BLS/ACLS certification required or preferred depending on site.
• COHN/COHN-S certification preferred for some sites.
• At least three years of RN experience in ER or occupational health settings.

Responsibilities

• Triage by conducting initial assessments to determine urgency of care needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and other practitioners for further evaluation.
• Perform and document tests such as EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision.
• Administer medications and emergency care within scope of practice.
• Maintain medical equipment and infection control procedures.
• Keep patient health records accurate and up-to-date.
• Educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

As a Full -Time Triage Registered Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Helena, MT. This role will perform triage by conducting initial assessments to determine the urgency of a member’s care needs. The scheduled hours are 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice


• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed


• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)


• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice


• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures


• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records


• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care


• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred


• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required


• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services


• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites


• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
