Job summary

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 14-week travel assignment in IMCU/Stepdown/PCU. This travel RN role requires at least 2 years of recent bedside IMCU/SD/PCU experience and a current RN license (Virginia licensure noted).

You will provide nursing care using the nursing process, participate in patient education, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of recent bedside IMCU/SD/PCU nursing experience.
• RN degree (ADN, BSN, or MSN) and current RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with the care team to meet patient needs.
• Meet specialty standards and ensure patient safety.

$75/hr

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Meets and maintains any requirements defined by a specific specialty

E ducation

• RN Degree - ADN, BSN or MSN

Certification/Licensure

• Valid RN License to practice in Virginia
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Experience
