Job summary

Ascension is hiring an ICU Stepdown RN in Nashville, TN. This full-time day shift role requires implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and executing physician and nursing orders.

Candidates must hold an RN license with required certifications and a nursing diploma. Acute care experience preferred, with benefits including health coverage and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Advanced Life Support certification required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed by Tennessee Board of Nursing or compact-state recognition.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the health-care team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s)

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire

What Additional Preferences We're Seeking

• 6+ months of acute care nursing experience
