Job summary

ATC Healthcare is seeking Telemetry Registered Nurses (RNs) for contract opportunities within Sentara Health facilities in Suffolk, Virginia. This travel/PRN role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to work in fast-paced telemetry units, delivering high-quality patient care.

Ideal candidates are proactively clinical, able to work independently, and hold an active RN license with BLS and ACLS. Pay is $61 per hour, with per diem shifts and varied day, evening, and weekend options.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state-specific).
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience in an acute care setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different unit environments.
• Per diem / PRN shifts with day, evening, or weekend availability may vary.
• Flexible scheduling based on facility needs and clinician availability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, including emergency situations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-care instructions
