Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Clinical Ladder team in a busy critical care unit. Eligible clinicians may earn salary increases up to 20% based on experience, development, and advancement criteria; a $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

The role includes staffing, evaluations, coaching, and documentation to support patient flow, admissions, discharges, and transfers, with emphasis on Caring Model and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 1+ year of ICU/critical care experience preferred.
• Leadership experience is a plus.

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines. 15K SIGN ON BONUS FOR ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES Prepare monthly staffing schedules for the assigned unit, ensuring adequate coverage for scheduled and add-on cases. Assist with performance evaluations, corrective actions, coaching, and counseling of team members. Maintain and submit required personnel documentation in a timely manner. Utilize time effectively and complete assigned duties within designated timeframes with minimal supervision. Communicate professionally and courteously with internal and external customers, both in person and by telephone. Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and collaborate effectively with other departments. Participate in hourly rounding utilizing the AIDET communication framework to support patient satisfaction and outcomes. Incorporate Caring Model behaviors and culturally competent care into daily practice. Monitor staff compliance with customer service expectations and reinforce organizational service excellence goals. Adhere to organizational standards for professional appearance and dress code compliance. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient flow and facilitate timely admissions, discharges, and transfers in accordance with hospital policies. Assist the Nurse Leader or designee with maintaining and updating unit records, reports, forms, and departmental documentation. Support operational efficiency and departmental goals through active teamwork and collaboration. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and other computer-based productivity tools. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Education: Associate's of Nursing [Required] Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
