Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse in a leadership role to coordinate unit schedules, support performance management, and maintain personnel documentation. You will work within a mission-driven team focused on high-quality patient care and effective staff collaboration.

The position requires an RN license, BLS certification, and 1+ year leadership experience, with preferred critical care exposure and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license required.
• BLS CPR Certification required.
• 1+ year of leadership experience preferred.
• 1+ year of RN experience in critical care or relevant specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly schedules for the assigned unit, ensuring coverage for all scheduled and add-on cases.
• Assists with performance appraisals, corrective actions, and employee counseling.
• Provides required documentation for personnel files in a timely manner.
• Utilizes time effectively and accomplishes duties within required timeframes with minimal supervision.
• Communicates courteously with internal and external customers in person and by telephone.
• Collaborates with other departments to support patient flow and staffing.

Job Description

• Prepares monthly schedules for the assigned unit, ensuring coverage for all scheduled and add-on cases.
• Assists with performance appraisals, corrective actions, and employee counseling.

• Participates in hourly rounding using the AIDET technique to improve patient outcomes.

• Monitors staff compliance with customer service behaviors and reinforces hospital goals for service management.
• Adheres to organizational standards for dress and professional appearance.
• Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork in managing patient flow, promoting timely patient placement by following hospital policies for admission, discharge, and transfer.
• Assists the Nurse Leader or designee with updates and maintenance of unit records, reports, and forms.

Pay Range
