Job description

Description and Job Duties:

1. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.
2. Assists physicians in patient examinations and performs minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
3. Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient conditions, and intervenes as necessary.
4. Administers medications as prescribed.
5. Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
6. Delivers competent patient care.
7. Interacts with patients and families, sharing care plans during hospitalization and at discharge.
8. Informs patients and families about hospital procedures.
9. Makes referrals for patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
10. Delegates tasks to support staff.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. Education: BSN
2. Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a specialty area.
3. Certifications: BLS, RN License
