Job summary

Mercy Springfield is seeking registered nurses for a Surgical 3B unit with a year-long Nurse Residency available. Roles include patient-centered care, collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, and adherence to Mercy Service Standards.

The unit focuses on pre- and post-surgical care (GI, Urology, ENT) with a 32-bed capacity and 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on both day and night shifts. We offer comprehensive benefits, sign-on incentives, and education support.

Qualifications

• Graduate or upcoming Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Maintain RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure requirements.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association or course completion within 30 days of hire.
• Physical ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds; stand and walk for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and protect patient rights and confidentiality.
• Participate in unit activities and maintain Mercy Service Standards.
