Job summary

The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading healthcare organization in Las Vegas, NM to recruit an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Surgical Services team. You will provide care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.

This PRN role offers day and night shifts. You will circulate, scrub, or PACU as assigned, administer meds, and ensure a safe, efficient surgical environment with strict documentation and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active New Mexico RN license or eligibility.
• BLS required; ACLS required; PALS preferred or department needs.
• Previous perioperative or operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care throughout preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient condition before, during, and after surgery.
• Prepare patients and OR for procedures and maintain sterile field.
• Serve as circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or PACU nurse as assigned.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Maintain safe, efficient surgical environment and document care.

Job Description

The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leadinghealthcare organization in Las Vegas, NM, to recruit an experienced andcompassionate Registered Nurse to join its Surgical Services team.

In this role, you will provide exceptional nursingcare to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients throughout the surgicalexperience.

You’ll work closely with surgeons, anesthesiaproviders, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, efficientsurgical services while serving in roles such as circulating nurse, scrubnurse, post-anesthesia care nurse, or other perioperative support functions asneeded.

Schedule: PRN | Days | Nights

What You'll Do

• Delivernursing care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, andpostoperative phases
  
• Assess,monitor, and document patient condition before, during, and after surgery
  
• Preparepatients, equipment, and the operating room for surgical procedures
  
• Serveas a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or post-anesthesia care nurse asassigned
  
• Administermedications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physicianorders
  
• Maintaina safe, sterile, and efficient surgical environment
  
• Collaboratewith surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary care team
  
• Monitorpatient recovery and provide education to patients and families
  
• Respondto changes in patient condition and surgical emergencies
  
• Ensureaccurate documentation and compliance with safety, regulatory, andinfection prevention standards
  

Required Qualifications

• Graduateof an accredited school of nursing
  
• ActiveNew Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
  
• CurrentBLS certification required
  
• ACLScertification required or ability to obtain within the required timeframe
  
• PALScertification preferred or required based on department needs
  
• Previousperioperative or operating room experience preferred
