Job summary

The Staff Pad is partnering with a healthcare organization in Las Vegas, United States, to recruit a skilled Surgical Technologist for the Surgery Department. In this PRN daytime role, you will assist surgeons and the team before, during, and after procedures, ensuring a safe, sterile, and efficient operating room environment.

You’ll prepare and maintain sterile instruments and spaces, pass instruments during procedures, count counts with circulating nurse, and help prep and restock rooms

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and aseptic practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures.
• Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts with the circulating nurse.
• Clean, restock, and prepare operating rooms between procedures.
• Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly and report any issues.
• Handle and label surgical specimens according to established protocols.

What You'll Do

What We Are Looking For
