Department/Unit Summary

Our general surgery staff includes expert surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and technicians dedicated to successful operations and promoting comfortable healing. Our services include endo, ortho, and pain procedures. Due to high outpatient volume, staff do not work weekends or holidays.

• 7 Pre/Op Infusion Rooms
• 2 OR Suites
• 1 Endo Suite
• 1 PACU Bay

How You’ll Contribute

You will provide direct and indirect patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. Meet the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and families. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team about patient conditions. Must have basic PC skills, be flexible, organized, and able to work under stress.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license and an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• 1-2 years minimum experience as a Surgery RN
• 2-4 years critical care experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire
• Handle with Care training within 30 days of orientation and annually thereafter
• TNCC preferred
• Specialty Certification testing within 1 year of hire and passing within 1.5 years – preferred
