Position Overview

Provides direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Meets the physical, psychosocial, religious/cultural, and needs of the patient and family. Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team about changes in the patient’s condition or response to treatment.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties as assigned and requested.
• Completes focused patient assessments with reassessments based on patient condition, procedures, medications, and treatments.
• Assesses and reassesses pain, utilizing appropriate pain management techniques.
• Provides patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and needs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medication administration, following the 6 rights to minimize errors.
• Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• Willing to take call shifts.
• RN license in KY or a compact state.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• BLS certification within 7 days of hire.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently in a stressful environment.

Our surgical facilities have recently been upgraded with new equipment and expanded capacity, including a sixth operating room and upcoming communication system upgrades. In 2023, we performed 7,837 procedures, reflecting a 12% growth from 2022.
