Position: Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN)

Full Time, Days

Job Description:

1. Supervise the Facility and direct the nursing staff during the shift to ensure the best patient care possible.
2. Assist the Director of Nursing in coordinating and supervising the Nursing Services Department.
3. Oversee Nursing services during shifts in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, Facility policies, and applicable regulations.
4. Support nurses with patients during acute episodes.
5. Address employee issues promptly and document actions taken.
6. Assume on-call responsibilities as needed.
7. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Registered Nurse license from an accredited School of Nursing, current and valid in North Carolina, with proof of renewal biennially.
3. Commitment to providing quality nursing care, following doctor’s orders, and interest in geriatric nursing.
4. Yearly CPR certification.
5. Participation in in-service training and staff meetings as required.
6. Ability to supervise nursing staff effectively, ensuring timely completion of work assignments.
7. Knowledge of and adherence to personnel, department, and Facility policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
8. Long Term Care experience preferred.
