Job summary

Ridgeview Institute - Smyrna is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor to ensure coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policy. The role provides supervision to shift staff and supports performance improvement efforts.

Requirements include Georgia RN licensure, 3+ years in psychiatric healthcare, CPR and CPI within 90 days, and a Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management.
• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• Currently licensed to practice by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification and CPI training within 90 days of employment, prior to restraining procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all staff members deliver care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Practice.
• Implement the unit policies and procedures and act as a resource to the staff.
• Ensure infection control, safety and risk management policies are implemented on the unit.
• Coordinate, maintain and evaluate treatment planning offered by Nursing Services.
• Monitor medical records for appropriate documentation of care and effectiveness.
• Assist in developing a plan of care with measurable goals and interventions.
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessment and patient interview within eight hours of admission.

The Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to staff assigned to his/her shift.

• Ensure that all staff members deliver care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Practice.
• Implement the unit policies and procedures and act as a resource to the staff.
• Responsible for unit compliance with The JOINT COMMISSION, CMS, state and regulatory standards and patient rights standards.
• Ensure Infection Control, Safety and Risk Management policies are consistently implemented on the unit.
• Coordinate, maintain and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment planning offered by Nursing Services.
• Monitor medical records for appropriate documentation of care and effectiveness.
• Assist in the development of a plan of care with specific and measurable goals, objectives and interventions defining actions unique to each patient's needs.
• Complete a comprehensive nursing assessment and patient interview according to policy within eight hours of patient's admission to the unit.

Your Experience Matters What We’re Looking For

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Georgia Board of Nursing

Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of The JOINT COMMISSION, CMS, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. CPR certification and successful completion of CPI within 90 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.

Compensation

This is a full-time, non-exempt role and the expected compensation range is between $43.00 and $52.00/hour which includes Supervisor Premium for Full Time, plus sign-on bonus of $6,000.00.
