Ridgeview Institute Smyrna is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN). The role requires documenting nursing care, reassessing patient conditions, and ensuring accuracy of records.

Nurses intervene in psychiatric and medical emergencies while educating patients and families about care plans and rights. Applicants must graduate from an accredited nursing program and be licensed by the Georgia State Board of Nursing; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document patient information and nursing care in the provision of nursing services.

• Verify the accuracy of patient records.
• Intervention is based on knowledge of psychiatric and medical nursing procedures and the plan of care.
• Provide education to patients and families based on their identified needs and limitations.
• Document the nursing interventions on the treatment plan and the patient's response.
• Utilize appropriate interventions in psychiatric and medical emergencies.
• Act as the patient's advocate and assure that patient rights are upheld.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members following the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.

• Document patient information and nursing care in the provision of nursing services.
• Document and reassess any significant changes in patient condition in compliance with facility policy.
• Verify the accuracy of patient records.
• Intervention is based on knowledge of psychiatric and medical nursing procedures and the plan of care.
• Provide education to patients and families based on their identified needs and limitations, such as communication, interpersonal, and social skills, as well as basic principles of physical health.
• Document the nursing interventions on the treatment plan and the patient's response to the intervention.
• Utilize appropriate interventions in psychiatric and medical emergencies.
• Act as the patient's advocate and assure that patient rights are upheld.

Your Experience Matters What We’re Looking For

• Education: Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience: At least three (3) years of experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility is preferred.
• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Georgia State Board of Nursing.

Compensation

This is a full-time, non-exempt role, and the expected compensation range is between $32.00 and $40.00/hour, plus a $6,000.00 sign-on bonus. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be given to experience and skill level. Join us as our Registered Nurse (RN)!
