Job summary

Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania, Elizabethtown Campus, is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead a 23-bed geriatric unit. You will oversee nursing staff on evenings or nights, coach the team, and ensure care is delivered per physician orders and IDCP—while maintaining documentation and resident safety.

You bring RN licensure in PA, CPR certification, and leadership experience. PCC EMR experience is a plus; benefits and shift premiums apply.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Current RN licensure by the PA State Board of Nursing is required.
• CPR certification is required prior to or upon employment.
• Previous leadership and long-term care or geriatric nursing experience is preferred.
• Computer skills are required; experience with an electronic medical record is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff on the unit, coach the team, and participate in performance reviews.
• Ensure care aligns with IDCP/physician orders and maintains accurate documentation.
• Provide direct resident care, respond to calls promptly, and support family communication.

PLUS Shift Premiums including $3.50 for Evenings, $2.50 for Nights & additional $1 Shift Differential for Weekends!

As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will carry out our Mission of Love by assuring care of our geriatric residents in a caring, timely and appropriate manner. RN Supervisor's will serve as a resource and coach to the nursing team on the unit for the particular shift. RN Supervisor's may conduct performance reviews, recommend or conduct disciplinary action and is involved in resolution

Our Registered Nurse Supervisoris responsible for the following:

• Monitors nursing care by visiting residents routinely to insure continuity and continual evaluation of care as related to I.D.C.P. and physician's orders. Assesses transitional care patient's condition and nursing care needs. Assures that medications, treatments and care are being provided as ordered or specified on I.D.C.P. Maintains appropriate documentation of nursing observations, including follow-up documentation in medical record in accordance with acceptable medical standards of practice. Prepares equipment and assists physician during rounds or special treatments and examinations of residents. Provides direct resident care and transports residents to activities and appointments as time permits. Answers call light promptly. Performs glucometer readings, EKGs and other testing as needed.
• Communicates effectively, assertively and in a non-aggressive manner. Maintains confidentiality of staff and residents. Establishes and maintains collaborative communications with physicians, other health care professionals and facility departments.
• Maintains knowledge of state regulations and monitors assigned nursing unit of continued compliance of regulations.
• Attends in-service programs and stays abreast of current theories and practices in transitional care nursing. Utilizes on line educational resources.
• Functions as an advocate for the transitional care patient and his/her family by supplying and interpreting information supporting decisions and facilitating communication. Participates in transitional care patient education as planned through the ID team.

What You Need as a Registered Nurse Supervisor:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse required
