Job summary

Novant Health is hiring a Cardiovascular registered nurse for the night shift at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

This full-time, 0.9 FTE position on the 12-hour night shift offers opportunities for growth within the Cardiac II unit and a focus on patient-centered cardiac care.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited nursing degree, a North Carolina license, BLS certification, and at least one year of acute nursing experience; benefits eligibility is included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Current valid North Carolina nursing license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• One year of acute nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments to gather data and identify patient needs per ANA standards and NCBON.
• Coordinate and communicate patient care needs for discharge planning in interdisciplinary care conferences and with the healthcare team.
• Develop and implement an individualized nursing care plan with the patient and family.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health team members to coordinate the plan of care and facilitate patient outcomes.
• Implement and evaluate the patient’s response to care through assessment and re‑assessment and update the plan of care.
• Provide care based on established standards of practice, policies, and protocols.

About Our Cardiac II Unit

Our unit has 43 beds and focuses on teamwork, family support, and professional growth. We prioritize career development and provide a transition program from step‑down to ICU for nurses expanding their skills.

What You'll Do
