The RN:* Assess the condition of the patient receiving Imaging/Interventional Radiology (IR) services via nursing process through identification of nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, communicating the plan of care, implementing appropriate nursing interventions and documenting and evaluating patient outcomes.* Serve as a liaison and educational resource for Imaging/IR Services.* Serve as a resource person to other members of the Radiology health care team.* The role of the registered nurse within Imaging/IR services is multifaceted including, but not limited to delivery of nursing care throughout all aspects of the services within the department: interventional procedures, administration of moderate sedation when applicable and as ordered by provider, pre-procedure care, recovery/PACU monitoring, nursing care during imaging (MSK, CT, etc.) and nursing care of patients in the IR Clinic.* Administration of chemo as related to IR procedures, participation in On Call rotations and Charge role as determined by role and experience.*This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.***Minimum Qualifications:****Education:*** Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor’s degree (BSN) preferred. PALS preferred but must be obtained within 3 months of hire.**Experience:*** Three years of experience is required.
