Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking an experienced RN for full-time night shift on a surgical oncology unit. The role involves providing highly skilled, complex care to patients with critical needs, including ventilated and post-operative cases.

Minimum ASN with Indiana RN license; BSN preferred. Active BLS and other unit-specific certifications may be required. Referral and sign-on bonuses are available.

Qualifications

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active RN license in Indiana or an active NLC RN license.
  • Requires graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; other advanced life support may be required per unit.

Responsibilities

  • Provide highly skilled, complex care to surgical oncology patients on the unit.
  • Collaborate with physicians and care teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Adhere to patient care policies and safety standards; participate in unit team activities.

This is a full-time NIGHT shift position.

Part-time and Full-time roles are eligible for a $30,000 sign-on bonus (available through 9/30/2026).
This position is also referral eligible.

This position is referral bonus eligible and currently qualifies for a NEW hourly location differential in addition to standard shift and holiday differentials. More details about this information will be provided during the interview process.

RN's specialize in providing highly skilled, complex care to surgical oncology patients on this unit. Nurses also serve ENT, Thoracic, Urology, Plastics, and General surgery patients. The patient population includes those that are critically ill and require ventilation, vasopressors, continuous dialysis, and therapeutic specialty beds.

We are looking for someone who exhibits strong initiative, compassion, high integrity, and collaboration to join this high functioning team.

Qualifications:
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
