Job summary

SoftPath Medical is seeking a Surgical Intensive Care Unit Nurse for a contract position in a high-acuity, 24-bed SICU. The role covers 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend work. The unit handles General Surgery, Trauma, Transplant, and Cardiothoracic cases in a level one trauma center.

Unit Description

The Surgical Intensive Care Unit is a 24-bed, high-acuity unit specializing in General Surgery, Trauma, Transplant, and Cardiothoracic Surgery.

As a level one trauma center, the unit collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

The unit manages a diverse range of acutely ill patients who may require additional acute therapies.

Requirements

• BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Experience in ICU and Telemetry settings required.
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system required.
• Travelers must be proficient in medication administration and dysrhythmia recognition, as a pass/fail test will be administered on day one.
• Candidates must have been separated from the affiliated health system for at least six months, including permanent, per diem, or contract roles, to be eligible.
