Exciting Opportunity! Come Join Our Team! The Salem Veterans Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Community Living Center (CLC). The nurse will be responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and supervising direct patient care. The role emphasizes patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• English Language Proficiency
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ACEN or CCNE)
• For those in a master's level bridge program, completion of coursework equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Nursing is required; licensure must be obtained prior to appointment.
• Foreign nursing graduates must possess a current, full, active, and unrestricted registration.
• Current registration as a professional nurse in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
• Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) candidates may be appointed temporarily while pursuing licensure.

Physical Requirements: Pre-placement physical examination required as per VA Handbook 5019.
