The Resource Pool offers endless opportunities to expand your nursing experiences. By joining Resource Pool, you will gain skills to provide quality care in various units including Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU. There are specialty tracks such as Med Surg, Step Down/Telemetry, Peds, PICU, NICU, M/B, Transitional Care Unit (short stay), Inpatient Rehab, and Psych. Training in ICUs includes Cardiac ICU, Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Neurotrauma ICU, and more.

As a registered nurse, you are expected to deliver excellent care and customer service, demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy with patients, families, visitors, and colleagues. RNs are responsible for nursing coordination and providing individualized care for patients of all ages. They utilize delegation and critical thinking skills to ensure quality service through a team-oriented, collaborative approach.

The RN's duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Conducting age-specific admission and ongoing assessments, documenting findings, and developing a care plan.
2. Collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and families to develop, implement, and evaluate an interdisciplinary plan of care, revising as patient conditions change.
3. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
4. Administering treatments and medications accurately, documenting in electronic medical records.

What We Require:

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam.

Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain it. CPR certification required; ACLS, PALS, NRP as needed.

Other: Computer skills for electronic medical records (EPIC). Successful completion of orientation and competency requirements. Ability to meet essential job functions.
