Job summary

Soliant is seeking a general school nurse in Massachusetts for a contract through December 1, 2026. The role supports approximately 540 PreK–3rd grade students and requires a caring, collaborative approach with staff and families.

The position runs 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:15am to 3:15pm. An RN license is required and duties include medication administration, diabetes management, and meticulous health-record keeping.

Job description

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a general school nurse in a vibrant educational environment. This position focuses on the well-being of approximately 540 young learners enrolled in PreK through 3rd grade. You’ll support a caring culture, collaborating with staff and families to ensure each student’s health and safety are prioritized every school day.

The role runs from now through December 1, 2026, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 35 hours per week from 8:15am to 3:15pm. Working with young children, you’ll be at the heart of daily school life, creating a positive impact behind the scenes and directly in the classroom.

Essential Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license
• Demonstrated experience with tube-feeding, catheter care, and diabetic management
• Familiarity with health needs specific to pediatric populations
• Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric healthcare strongly preferred
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and parents
• Organizational skills in maintaining accurate health records and emergency preparedness

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver routine and emergency nursing care for PreK-3rd grade students
• Administer and manage medications, specialized healthcare procedures, and daily treatments as needed
• Monitor and address chronic health conditions, including diabetes management
• Coordinate and communicate with faculty, families, and external healthcare providers
• Educate students and staff in basic health and wellness practices
• Maintain meticulous records in compliance with all regulations and school policies
• Promote a healthy, inclusive environment for every student
