Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a School-Based Registered Nurse in Ithaca, NY to support 12 elementary and middle schools, onsite with a consistent 8:30 am–4:30 pm weekday schedule.

You will travel between campuses providing comprehensive health care, triage, and collaborate with nurses to ensure consistent care. A valid NY RN license and pediatric experience are preferred. Benefits include health insurance and a 401(k).

Step into a rewarding role providing vital care and support to students across a dynamic school district in the Ithaca, NY region. As a school-based Registered Nurse (RN), you will work full-time onsite, traveling between 12 different elementary and middle school campuses to assist and cover for nursing staff as needed. Your expertise will play a key part in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children and staff, all while enjoying a consistent weekday schedule from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Current and valid NY state RN license is required
• Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred
• Proven ability to adapt quickly and provide nursing care in varying environments
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with interdisciplinary teams
• Willingness to support multiple sites and cover a diverse caseload of students
