Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a registered nurse with 1+ year of experience to join our fast-paced pre/post anesthesia team in Indianapolis. You will pre-op a variety of surgical patients and recover Endoscopy patients, collaborating with top medical professionals.

The role is full-time days, Monday through Friday, 5:30am-4:00pm, with minimal call required every six weeks; weekend or holiday shifts are not scheduled. A BSN is preferred and licensure must be Indiana RN in good standing.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN). Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires current Indiana RN license.
• RN must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced pre/post-anesthesia area caring for surgical patients.
• Pre-op a variety of patients and recover Endoscopy patients.
• Be a team player, eager to learn and grow nursing skills; available weekdays; minimal weekend/holiday scheduling.

Overview

We are looking for someone with at least 1+ year of RN experience.

Indiana University Health is looking for passionate, experienced nurses to join our team and collaborate with top medical professionals.

This is a fast-paced pre/post area. We pre-op a variety of surgical patients from multiple specialties. Currently we recover Endoscopy patients. If you are a team player and eager to learn and grow your nursing skills, we have availability for nurses. We are open Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 8:30 PM, Monday-Friday, no scheduled weekends or holidays. Minimal call is required within a 6-week period.

This position is referral eligible and qualifies for a location differential.

Shift: FT Days - 5:30am-4:00pm Mon-Fri, no scheduled weekends or holidays. Minimal call is required within a 6-week period.

Qualifications/knowledge/skills/abilities

• Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
