Job summary

IU Health is seeking an Endoscopy Registered Nurse to support pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure cardiac and GI patient care. The Endoscopy unit serves pediatric and adult patients in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with endoscopists, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires RN licensure in Indiana or an NLC, BLS certification, and either ASN or BSN with acute care experience. Full-time, dayshift with on-call expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of RN experience.
• Active RN license in Indiana or NLC RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required per unit.
• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure (scrub & circulator), and post-procedure recovery nursing care.
• Support endoscopy unit for pediatric and adult patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with endoscopists, anesthesiologists, anesthesia RNs, and OR staff to deliver high-quality care.
• Care for GI procedures, bronchoscopies, mobility and pain management as needed.

TheEndoscopyRegistered Nurse will supportpre-procedure, intra-procedure (scrub & circulator), and post-procedure recovery patient care responsibilities.The IU Health North Endoscopyunitsupports procedures with pediatric and adult patient populationsin afast-pacedenvironment.We provide upper and lower GI procedures,endoscopy procedures, bronchoscopies, andmobility andpain management patient careservicesfor pediatric and adult patients.We are a 4-suite department where our nurses collaborate with endoscopists, anesthesiologists, anesthesia RNs, and operating room assistants to provide quality care to our patients.

Shift:

• Full Time; Dayshift

• On call requirement: Weekday Call Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM; Weekend Call Hours: Saturday and Sunday are covered 24 hours each day.

Qualifications

• Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if theypossessmore than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may berequiredper unit/departmentspecialty according to patient care policies.
