Job summary

Community Health Centers of the Rutland Region is seeking a Registered Nurse for Rutland Express Care. This full-time (.9FTE) role in Rutland, Vermont, involves providing professional nursing care in an Express Care office setting and coordinating urgent patient needs.

The position requires an accredited RN education, Vermont state licensure, and experience with medications, patient education, and standard nursing procedures. Office-based nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing program.
• Maintains current Vermont State License.
• Documented medical experience with full knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures.
• One year of professional nursing experience preferred, preferably in an office setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care for office patients following established policies and procedures.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
• Takes and records patients' vital signs, immunization status, and brief history.
• Cleans and autoclaves procedural equipment and instruments.
• Observes patients and reports to physician regarding condition and response to drugs and treatments, per nursing process.
• Oversees appointment scheduling and prioritizes emergencies.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Observes records and reports to physician patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments, according to the nursing process.
• Oversees appointment scheduling, assures priority is given to patients in emergency situations.

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS:

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing program.
• Maintains current Vermont State License.
• Documented medical experience with full knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures.
