Texas Health Southwest in Fort Worth, TX is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Wound Care/Hyperbaric Outpatient Clinic. This PRN II role requires coordinating with wound clinic leadership to cover M-F 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

staffing needs. You will deliver care using the Nursing Process, perform wound care in outpatient settings, teach patients and families, and communicate with other care providers. Requirements include an associate degree or nursing diploma (BSN preferred), 1 year RN

Formación

• Associate degree or Nursing Diploma required.
• BSN preferred.
• One-year RN experience.
• Current RN licensure in Texas or compact licensure recognized by Texas BON.
• Current BLS certification maintained quarterly.

Responsabilidades

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Provides wound care in an outpatient setting.
• Collaborates with team to resolve patient issues.
• Ensures timely, accurate communication with other care providers.
• Provides patient and family teaching and discharge instructions.

Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132

Work hours: PRN II requires a minimum of 3 shifts per 6 week schedule (working collaboratively with wound clinic leadership to cover the M-F 8a -4:30p staffing needs).

What You Need

• Associate degree or Nursing Diploma required.
• BSN preferred.
• One-year experience as a registered nurse.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
• Current BLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• Experience in outpatient wound care setting (preferred) and/or inpatient wound care

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• R esponsible for delivery of wound care in an outpatient setting.
• Work with other team members to resolve patient issues.
• Ensure communication with other care providers is timely, accurate, and complete.
• Patient/family teaching and discharge instructions, referrals and supply needs.
• Utilizes evidence-based practice to a dminister wound care services.
