Job summary

Texas Health Southwest is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Wound Care/Hyperbaric Outpatient Clinic in Fort Worth, TX. This PRN II role requires a minimum of 3 shifts per 6-week schedule and collaborates with wound clinic leadership to cover M-F 8a-4:30p staffing needs.

Requirements include an Associate degree or Nursing Diploma (BSN preferred), 1 year RN experience, current RN license, and BLS certification. Outpatient wound care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Nursing Diploma required.
• BSN preferred.
• One-year experience as a registered nurse.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
• Current BLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• Experience in outpatient wound care setting (preferred) and/or inpatient wound care.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Responsible for delivery of wound care in an outpatient setting.
• Work with other team members to resolve patient issues.
• Ensure communication with other care providers is timely, accurate, and complete.
• Patient/family teaching and discharge instructions, referrals and supply needs.
• Utilizes evidence-based practice to administer wound care services.
