Job summary

Memorial Physician Practices in Elko, NV, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Women's Services. The role involves direct patient assessment, planning care, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to deliver specialized obstetric and gynecologic care.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in Nevada, an associate degree in nursing, and current BLS; ACLS/PALS are required. At least one year of experience is preferred, with additional certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license (Nevada).
• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS, NRP, and Handle with Care certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

Our Women's Health Department embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, which are essential for providing specialized care to patients. This department provides clinical care for patients from Neonatal to Geriatric patients.

How you’ll contribute

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
