Position Summary

The Women’s Services unit is a 32-bed unit providing care in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum/GYN, and Nursery.

• Performs care plans, medication administration, specimen collection, and treatments.
• Documents patient care accurately.
• Monitors and communicates patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists with activities of daily living.
• Coordinates care across disciplines, including transfers, discharge, and referrals.
• Provides education tailored to patient and family needs.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Education

• Associate’s degree in nursing required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire

License

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Kentucky
