Job summary

Valley View Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Women’s Services to join a tight-knit team in a smaller hospital setting.

You’ll provide direct patient care during nights in a 3x12 schedule, participate in interdisciplinary rounds, and support family education and discharge planning in a community-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license
• Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program
• Basic life support (BCLS) required
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
