Job summary

Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Weekend Supervisor. You will provide direct patient care, supervise nursing staff, and ensure high standards of resident safety and quality care.

The ideal candidate holds a North Carolina RN license, CPR certification, a nursing degree, and LTC experience, with strong leadership and communication skills to guide weekend shifts and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Current, active, unrestricted North Carolina RN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year of Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care according to individual care plans.
• Administer medications and conduct resident assessments.
• Perform wound care and ensure accurate, timely documentation.
• Supervise and support Nursing Assistants and nursing staff during weekend shifts.
• Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes to physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Promote a safe, compassionate, and respectful environment for residents, families, and staff.
• Serve as the clinical leader for the weekend nursing team.
