Job summary

Grand Trace Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Weekend Nursing Supervisor (RN) to lead our care team and ensure excellence in resident outcomes. The role requires hands‑on leadership, staffing oversight, and adherence to care plans within a long‑term care setting.

The ideal candidate brings an RN license, 3+ years of nursing experience (including 1+ year in administration), and a commitment to high‑quality resident care. Weekend availability is essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in long‑term care or skilled nursing.
  • At least 1 year of experience in nursing administration.
  • Strong leadership, team‑building, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to work weekends with flexibility.
  • Completion of Preceptor Training (or willingness to complete upon hire).

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Supervise Nursing Staff – Manage daily staffing needs, ensuring adequate coverage and quality resident care.
  • Staff Development & Training – Assist in ongoing education, ensuring all staff are equipped to provide exceptional care.
  • Direct Resident Care – Provide hands-on nursing care, ensuring residents' medical needs are met in accordance with individualized care plans.
  • Resident Assessments – Conduct and document comprehensive evaluations upon admission and throughout their stay.
  • Treatment Planning & Compliance – Assist in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans while ensuring adherence to resident rights and facility policies.
  • Recruit & Retain Nursing Talent – Play a key role in the hiring and retention of skilled nursing professionals.
  • Conflict Resolution & Advocacy – Address concerns from residents and families, ensuring grievances are handled professionally and effectively.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement – Implement new ideas, enhance processes, and support a positive, results-driven management team.

Minimum Qualifications
