Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System in Springfield, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time weekend shifts in the General OR Core Function. The role requires delivering compassionate patient care, collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, and supervising assigned staff.

You will support patients and families, teach self-care, adhere to nursing standards, and help achieve quality outcomes. A BSN is preferred and BLS is required, with RN licensure in the state of practice.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program and licensed as RN in state of practice.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Experience in healthcare is preferred.
  • Wisconsin RN multi-state license allowed under the Nurse Licensure Compact.

Pay Range: $34.00 - $51.00 A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families, and supervising assigned team members.

Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills, and answering questions.

Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, making or recommending necessary adjustments, and following nursing philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.

Position Specifics: Department: General OR Core Function: Nursing Schedule: Weekend only; Full time; Dayshift; 36 hours per week; 6:45 am to 7:15 pm; No call. Facility: St. John's Hospital Location: Springfield, IL Compensation: Compensation that aligns with your experience; weekend only shift differential Sign on: Up to $20,000
