Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a day shift, full-time Vascular Access Registered Nurse in Pocatello, Idaho. You will assess and place vascular access devices, utilize ultrasound guidance, and deliver patient-centered care across age groups.

The role requires Idaho RN licensure or a compact-state license, BLS, and PICC certification within 4 months. You will document thoroughly, manage resources wisely, and pursue ongoing professional development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Idaho or an approved Compact State.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 14 days of hire.
• PICC certification must be obtained within 4 months of hire.
• Ability to work varied shifts.
• Effective interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess short, mid and long term vascular access devices (VAD) and place/maintain the most appropriate VAD.
• Use ultrasound guidance (USG) in placement of VAD.
• Demonstrates nursing process knowledge across all ages: infants to geriatrics.
• Documents thoroughly following regulatory and hospital requirements.
• Participates in responsible management of health care resources.
• Assumes responsibility for clinical competency and professional development.

Responsibilities

This position is accountable for the provision of safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective care assuring patients have the most appropriate vascular access. Utilizing the nursing process, care is delivered in compliance with hospital policies and procedures, legal, and regulatory standards.

• Assess patients for short, mid and long term vascular access devices (VAD). Place and assist in maintaining the most appropriate VAD.
• Use of ultrasound guidance (USG) in placement ofn VAD.
